For individuals looking to better their lives, it is recommended they seek out employment and training that can help spur them on to better things. Social assistance is the last option an individual should seek if they are looking to find work. SA is only available for those who are living on the reserve. Applications can be made at the band office front desk. Some documents that are needed are personal ID’s, last paystub of previous job, banking information (void cheque), last year’s income tax assessment, Employment Insurance letter, and must be 18 years and older.
